I am delighted to announce that as of today, Monday 1st October the entire share capital of ARRC Holdings Ltd, which in turn owns ARR Craib Transport Ltd and ARR Craib Transport (NEE) Ltd has been acquired by Gregory Distribution (Holdings) Ltd.
This is fantastic news and a pivotal point in our Company’s history. This is not a decision I have taken lightly and I believe it is the right decision for the Company and its valued employees.
Gregory Distribution is one of the UK’s largest and most successful family owned logistics companies with turnover in excess of £180 million, 2000 staff and operating over 750 vehicles.
The ARR Craib name and brand will remain and there are no changes to staffing or the way we operate.
Ownership by the Gregory Group takes ARR Craib Transport Ltd to a higher level of financial stability and opportunity as we can extend our services both operationally and geographically. We will benefit from being part of a UK wide, highly professional and dynamic operation.
This is excellent news for all staff and customers. I know the Gregory team well and know that this is an excellent fit for both companies.
I am proud of where I and the team have taken the Company since I first became involved in 1985, but the market and the challenges have changed and being part of a larger, financially stronger group is definitely the way ahead for our great Company.
There is only one change to announce, and that is the departure of our CFO Neil Armour – a huge thanks to Neil for all his excellent work over the last couple of years.
Other than that it’s business as usual.
I will remain as CEO and look forward to an exciting new chapter of this journey.
