Yard / Trailer Husbandry Operative | ARRCRAIB

Yard / Trailer Husbandry Operative

At ARR Craib we are proud to deliver award winning service and as we continue to challenge the industry, our talented people are integral to our journey; our people make that difference.

As we continue to grow we now have 2 full-time vacancies for the role Yard / Trailer Husbandry Operative, one in Aberdeen and the other at our site in Cumbernauld.

Each role is twofold with the post holder responsible for maintaining the yard areas and also ensuring our fleet of trailers are ready for their next job.

The post holder will be responsible for overall yard maintenance. This will include ensuring the yard, workshop/warehouse and general ground areas are maintained to a tidy and safe environment.

Trailers will need to be checked to make sure they are clean, damage free, contain the appropriate securing gear and are parked correctly. In addition to this some marshalling work may also be required; this may involve streamlining the steady flow of vehicles in and out of the LGV wash facility and fuelling area.

It is essential that candidates have a Class 1 LGV licence (category CE) as there will also be shunting duties.

Candidates must be a good communicator, have the ability to work using their own initiative and also as part of a team. Good organisational skills and an appreciation for health and safety is also an important requirement. This is an active role that would suit someone who enjoys working outdoors and is able to withstand our lovely Scottish weather!

In return ARR Craib offers a competitive salary and benefit package as well as continual support to ensure the post holder is fully developed and competent in all aspects of their role.
Our culture has long been characterised by a strong, robust 'can do' attitude, we work very well as a team and take pleasure in providing an excellent quality of service.

If you believe you are suitable for either of these roles we’d like to hear from you. Please call 01224-771122 and speak with Bob Donald, Kenny Walker or Andrea Logan or apply online via the careers page of our website at www.arr-craib.com.
