LGV Mechanic

We currently have a vacancy for a Heavy Goods Mechanic at our main workshop in Dyce to work on a dayshift / back-shift rota.  This role represents an opportunity to join one of the most established and reputable transportation businesses in the country and as such candidates must be able to demonstrate that they can work to the high standards set by ARR Craib.
This is a varied position that entails working on a variety of HGV vehicles with duties such as:

  • Servicing
  • Diagnostics
  • Inspection and preparation
  • Repairs
  • Preventative maintenance
  • MOTs

Applicants must hold a qualification in heavy vehicle engineering (City and Guilds or NVQ), comparable trade papers from the Armed Forces or a recognised indentured apprenticeship is essential.  In addition to this a full UK driving licence is required and a Class 1 or 2 would be advantageous.

  • Dayshift hours: 6.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 7am to 2pm on alternate Saturdays
  • Back-shift hours: Monday to Thursday - 5pm to 3.30am, Friday – 5pm to 1.30am and 7am to 2pm on alternate Saturdays
